THE ADVANTAGES OF Planning PRE-NEED

There are a lot of decisions to be made when a death happens, and this can be often over-whelming for families. We believe that families should be able to properly grieve and mourn the loss of a loved one, rather than experience the stresses and confusion that can come when having to make such important decisions during this time.

This can be accomplished by prearranging burial and marker costs at the cemetery ahead of time so that when a death occurs, the family simply has to contact Arlington & Elm Lawn where we will have all prearrangement information on file.

Prearranging not only provides peace of mind, it is also financially beneficial. Once all services have been pre-paid, pricing is locked in. Only if a service is scheduled after 3pm or on a weekend are there additional monies due.

What pre-need ARRANGEMENTS CAN I MAKE AT Arlington & Elm Lawn?

  • Burial Location: This can often be the most difficult and important decision for families to make. Doing this ahead of time gives you the opportunity to view our beautiful grounds and inquire about our many options, both for traditional burials and cremation.

  • Marker/Monument: Depending on the requirements of the grave’s section, there are different materials/sizing options available for markers. Our family service counselors would be more than happy to go over personalized memorial options for your section.

  • Vault: The in-ground outer concrete container in which a casket or urn is placed – there are several different vault options, each offering various levels of protection and customization.
  • Opening/Closing: The costs for the grave preparation, escort to the site upon arrival in procession, grounds attendants, use of our lowering device, chairs, and ground covering or use of chapel during the committal service and for generating all administrative records. This service also includes helping loved ones locate a burial location at any point in the future.

Should I buY space for our whole family?

Families often purchase grave spaces in multiple quantities, either for a married couple, or for themselves and their children. Prearranging grave spaces means that you can guarantee enough sites are purchased for as many people as you would like buried together.

Will the cemetery space I buy be looked after in the future?

Various civil jurisdictions have enacted laws to insure that cemeteries will be adequately maintained now and in the future.

If I move to a different address is it Important to notify the cemetery where I have property, of the change in my address?

By all means. Cemeteries need to keep up-to-date lists of their lot owners.
