DESIGN:

Designing a distinct, beautiful and personal memorial for your loved one(s) provides the opportunity to honor them in the most personal way. Memorials are available in bronze or granite, and in upright or lawn-level styles. Your design experience includes your choice of memorial design, memorial color, granite color, personalized endearment phrase wording, choice of emblems or vases and even a personal picture (additional costs may apply).

Families designing a memorial in Arlington Cemetery must follow suit with what type of markers have already been set on a family lot. For example, if on an 8-grave family lot, several of those graves feature bronze flush markers, all additional markers must be bronze flush markers. 

Monuments 

Monuments are upright granite memorials permitted in several sections of the cemetery which provide for greater creativity in honoring a family’s heritage and visibility. A family owning at least 4 graves together in an appropriate section (either 4 in a row or in a 2x2 fashion) are able to take advantage of placing a monument. It is a stunning memorial to families, and there are many color and design options.

Bronze memorials 

Bronze markers are flush (lawn-level) memorials permitted in every section of the cemetery. Bronze Memorials come in various types: Individual, Companion, and Infant. Bronze markers can be mounted on a granite base which frame the bronze in a stately fashion. Bronze markers are fully customizable including colors, font style and size, design, and personal emblems that reflect a loved one’s hobbies or religious beliefs. Photos can be added for an extra personal touch. Family service counselors can design your marker using computer software so you can see the end result before it’s even sent to our vendor. Vases in markers are not permitted in Elm Lawn.

Granite memorials

Granite markers are available in several sections within the cemetery. They are available in both flush companion and individual sizes, with a wide range of colors and hundreds of design options, and can include a photo if desired.

Pet memorials

Remember your beloved best friend with a lasting Tribute in bronze or granite. Elm Lawn can even incorporate a custom photograph of your pet directly into the design so that he or she may be admired through the ages. Several colors and designs are available, and photos of the available options may be easily viewed by visiting our office.
